Made in the Dark by Hot Chip
With their 2006 sophomore hit The Warning, Hot Chip established themselves as one of the preeminent electropop bands currently going. The band's latest effort, Made in the Dark ($16) finds the crew turning a more mature corner. While it lacks the frenetic excitement of its predecessor, it contains more refined hooks and beats that give the album an introspective feel while still managing to rock out in unique ways. Standout tracks: "Shake a Fist," "Bendable Poseable" and "Hold On."
