Minotaur by The Pixies

Curated by graphic designer Vaughan Oliver and photographer Simon Larbalestier, who created the cover art for all five Pixies' studio albums, Minotaur by The Pixies ($230) is the definitive box set for the band that influenced a generation of rockers, from Nirvana to Weezer. Minotaur includes all five studio albums on 24k gold-plated CD, DVD, and Blu-ray, the latter two mastered for 5.1 surround sound with greater fidelity on the Blu-ray release, as well as an unreleased Pixies 1991 live performance from Brixton, also included in all three formats. The array of discs is housed in a custom designed folio, along with a 54-page book featuring Oliver and Larbalestier's work. If that's not enough for you, step up to the Limited Edition release ($630; pictured), which is individually numbered, hand-signed by every member of the band as well as Oliver, and might include test pressings of the original vinyl albums.
