In today's world of carbon-fiber this and "unbreakable" polycarbonate that, it's sometimes nice to use an item that's the same today as it was 100 years ago. Mountain Boy Toboggans ($150-$300) are a prime example. The classic toboggans are made by hand using knot-free, flexible basswood planks that are steam-bent to form the signature front curl, and are finished off with stainless steel screws, genuine leather grommets, and an extra long rope.
