While we don’t get the chance to go camping/backpacking very often — it’s hard to find Wi-Fi out in the wilderness — when we do we like to have the best gear possible, and that includes the Hubba Hubba Tent from MSR ($290). It’s extremely lightweight (about 4 lbs.), has room for two, and the all-mesh canopy provides plenty of ventilation.
Ever wonder where all those movie stars get tents for their backyard parties? More than a few of them have come from Raj Tents (starting at $2450). The company, started in London, now operates out of Oakland, and also offers rental service for those living in L.A. and the Bay Area. The uniquely designed tents are hand made by local artisans in Rajasthan, India and feature lots of fine detailing only found in handcrafted tents such as these. Now if we just had a huge backyard and a cell filled with numbers of A-list celebs, we’d be set.
Wow. We just know we could put this thing to good use somewhere. The Inflatable Pub from Airquee ($TBA) has room for a bar and 30 customers, and can be be erected anywhere in just 10 minutes with 2 small blowers. It's even got a blow-up fireplace. And best of all, if you're not that popular, you can just order 30 blow-up dolls and have them be your crowd. [Thanks, Mike]
