We were expecting this documentary to be simply OK. We didn't care if the story or the characters sucked. We knew from the previews that we would at least be entertained by some disabled dudes slamming into each other in gladiator style wheelchairs. We got more than we hoped for. Murderball ($20) is more than a story about quadriplegics playing full-contact rugby at the world level — it's a truly touching story that shows just how much some inspiring individuals must overcome. The film has also got a great rivalry story with a former Team USA superstar that defects to coach in Canada. And, yes, tons of disabled dudes crashing into each other in wheelchairs.
