Pontiac Solstice

Pontiac Solstice

We really only have one thing to say about the new Pontiac Solstice (starting at $20,000) — this is hands down the most beautiful car you will ever see at this kind of price. Pontiac won't be able to make them fast enough. The rear-wheel drive roadster has body styling to die for, a wide stance with sports suspension, and a 2.4 liter Ecotec 4-cylinder engine that delivers 177 hp. It's also got an Aisin short throw 5-speed manual transmission, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and an available Eurostyle two-tone leather interior. The word Solstice should mean value from now on.

  • Dodge Charger SRT8

Yes, "Grab life by the horns" is a stupid slogan. But this beast makes up for it. The 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 ($39,000 est.) is a true muscle car. It boasts a 425-horsepower 6.1-liter HEMI V8 engine good enough for 0-60 in about 5 seconds and a quarter-mile time in the 13-second range. The Charger offers 20-inch aluminum wheels with high-performance F1 Goodyears, a functional hood scoop, dual 3.5-inch exhaust tips, and your youth.

  • Subaru Impreza WRX STi

If you've ever tore up the turns of a deserted gravel road imagining you were racing in the mountains of Argentina, then this this car was made for you. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi (starting at $32,450) is the closest thing you can buy to a World Rally Championship race car. It packs a turbocharged 300-hp engine (the normal WRX has 227-hp), high-tech all-wheel drive with advanced sport-tuned suspension, a massive Brembo brake kit, lightweight BBS wheels, racing-style front seats, and a killer hood scoop and rear wing. This thing is bold and mean, and will kick the crap out of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and then the authentic pink STI badge will spit on it.
