The battle of the fake — or is that real? — instruments continues with Power Gig: Rise of the SixString ($60-$230). This new rival to Rock Band and Guitar Hero includes either just the game, the game and a working electric guitar that can be hooked into any normal amp when not playing the game, or both of those plus a USB mic and a motion-sensing drum controller. It also includes tracks by big names like Eric Clapton, DMB, and Kid Rock, or a few legendary cuts plus some tracks that were in constant college bar rotation in the late '90s.
