It seems like every year around halloween you can’t go to the movies without hearing about some town being attacked by a monster. Well, now Apple’s unleashed one of their own. The new Power Mac G5 Quad ($3300) boasts a ton of power inside its sleek metal enclosure. At the core of the machine are two dual-core 2.5 GHz G5 chips, producing over 76 Gigaflops of power — that’s a whole lot of flops. It also includes a 16x Dual-Layer SuperDrive, 256MB of video ram, support for 16GB of 533MHz DDR2 RAM, and a 250GB Hard Drive. Monster, indeed.
