Raoul's

The only real testimonial that Raoul's needs is that it's been operational in SoHo, an area known for its ephemeral dining landscape, since the the mid-70s, when two brothers from Alsace, France mustered enough scratch to buy a small restaurant and setup shop. At the time, the brothers were so poor that they had to use all of the previous establishment's materials, a factor of little consequence when held against a stellar menu. Stand out dishes include: Crab Ravioli ($14), Organic Chicken ($24) and Steak au Poivre ($37). Call ahead and ask for a table in the garden room, a low key speakeasy sort of space requiring a brisk walk through the kitchen.
