Last year, we described this group's debut Horehound as "an unholy mix of blues, jazz, reggae, and more, brought together in a lo-fi mash that's just what the doctor ordered," and guess what? It's time to get your prescription refilled. Sea of Cowards by The Dead Weather ($10) takes the band further along the road they were already travelling, with Jack White and Alison Mosshart sharing the vocal duties equally, while the band's music whips, whirls, and thrashes with an attention-demanding vitality that few groups can pull off.
