Sharp R-426Hs Microwave

Sharp R-426Hs Microwave

It's kind of sad that we know things like this, but there really hasn't been a well designed microwave in a while. The Sharp R-426Hs ($140) is the first we've seen that we would actually want to see in our kitchen every day. The family-size, 1200-watt microwave has a sleek brushed stainless steel exterior with a hidden control panel located behind its door. The microwave has 9 sensor settings, popcorn sensor, Instant Action keys, a 5-option defrost feature, and a Keep Warm Plus feature that keeps food hot up to 30 minutes after cooking is done.

  • Polder Compact Dish Rack

Chances are if you live in a small apartment, it doesn't have a dish washer. So, you'll need a dish rack for your plates and stuff after you've washed them by hand (Ugh). And you might as well get a small one since your tiny apartment more than likely has little counter space. The stainless steel Polder Compact Dish Rack ($20) is the one you want.

  • Z-Star Manual Juicer

If you don't have a local juice bar, but still want all of the super healthy vitamins and nutrients in wheatgrass, you're going to need to get yourself a juicer. The Z-Star Manual Juicer ($90) is our favorite. Its single-auger design "uses an extremely gentle and efficient process to extract more high-quality juice from each blade of wheatgrass" without electric power. Despite its color green trim, it also juices more than just wheatgrass — the Z-Star works with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. And it's lightweight and portable, so you can do some juicing while on the road for a business trip or vacation.
