Shutter Island
Scorcese's best work it's not, but Shutter Island ($17-$25) is still an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours on a lazy — and preferably dreary — summer day. Paired once again with his latest partner-in-crime Leonardo DiCaprio, and bolstered by noteworthy turns from Ben Kingsley, Jackie Earle Haley, and Patricia Clarkson, Marty takes the viewer on a trip back to a 1950's compound for the criminally insane, where the story shifts from a period crime piece into a psychological horror. We could say more, but let's be honest: we'd watch a whole season of The Bachelor if it was helmed by this guy, so what's the point?
