SlimType Keyboard

After using a PowerBook for years, this Uncrate editor recently switched to an iMac Core Duo. This meant that, in addition to gaining blazing fast speed, I'd also have to switch to using a full-size keyboard. Not good. Apple's keyboards have always felt big and clumsy to me. As expected, I couldn't get used to it, and I longed for the precise feel of the PowerBook's keys. Finally, I came across Kensington's SlimType Keyboard ($34). It's built just like the PowerBook's keyboard, with low-travel, scissor-switch keys that have an excellent feel. The SlimType connects via USB and even matches the iMac's white exterior beautifully. Kensington also sells a black version for PC users ($24). To put it simply, this sleek keyboard saved me from selling my new iMac, and I couldn't work without it.
