Terrafugia Transition

We were always amazed by Scaramanga's flying AMC Matador in The Man With The Golden Gun, and now you can own your very own flying car. Or is that driving plane? Actually, it's the Terrafugia Transition ($195,000). This "light sport" aircraft features electrically-powered folding wings that, when paired with the rear-facing propeller, allow it to fly at 115 mph for up to 460 miles. But should inclement weather strike, or you just decide to drive, the wings fold up and the Transition becomes a street-legal car that gets 30 miles to the gallon. It's the ultimate getaway vehicle, provided you, your sidekick/henchman, and your loot don't weigh more than 450 lbs. [Thanks, Thomas & Ken]

  • BMW M Bike

Traditional BMW M series styling and handling, with horsepower provided by you. The BMW M Bike ($TBA) boast high-tech components worthy of its name, including a matte anthracite frame, disc brakes, a Shimano SLX gear system, a Manitou Match suspension fork on the front wheel, a leather saddle with red inlay, and striking wheels with matching handles. It won't be cheap, but then again it'll probably be less than a single month's payment on the M3, M5, or M6.

  • Burley Travoy Bike Cargo Trailer

Love leading an eco-friendly lifestyle by biking to-and-fro, but miss the convenience of being able to haul larger quantities of goods? Pick yourself up a Burley Travoy Bike Cargo Trailer ($260). Fully collapsible and lightweight thanks to its aluminum frame, the Travoy attaches to your bike's seat post, and tows behind your bike on two large, sturdy wheels at a 45-degree angle. Once you reach your destination, it fits neatly inside the included tote bag, or you can detach it and use it as a shopping cart — although you can expect to draw more than a few odd looks if you try that anywhere but the grocery store.
