The Big Books

The Big Books

It should come as no surprise that we're big fans of the female anatomy, which explains our love for The Big Books ($40/each). Compiled by Taschen editor Dian Hanson, The Big Butt Book and The Big Book of Legs focus on two of our favorite parts, with the former containing over 400 prime examples dating as far back as 1900, the latter pictorially examining the female leg's former taboo status and the social change its slow reveal brought about, each accompanied by interesting trivia and interviews. The ultimate coffee table set for your man room.

  • Music

Like Creature and Wisdom before it, Music ($32) is a unique pictorial look at the current state of music, as seen through the eyes of 50 artists as varied as Billy Corgan, Clint Black, Danny Elfman, Henry Rollins, Karen O, and Ozzy Osbourne — each one of which was photographed and interviewed on film for the book. Just make sure to put this one on the bookcase, as the initial sight of an aging Ozzy might be more than your houseguests can bear.

  • Beer

Normally a large collection of beer cans in your man cave means you had a right rowdy night the evening before — unless you've got a copy of Beer ($14) sitting on your coffee table. This picture-filled paperback takes you on a visual tour of a collection of cans so vast and varied that it would take more money, time, and liver capacity than you've got to assemble it yourself.
