The Social Network

You can argue whether it was the best movie of the year, but it was unquestionably the most important movie of the year. The Social Network ($17) tells the tale of the birth of Facebook and the rise of its controversial founder — and Time Magazine Person of the Year — Mark Zuckerberg, subtly portrayed here by Jesse Eisenberg. With a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, direction from David Fincher, and a slew of terrific performances, it's intriguing entertainment for a new generation of adult moviegoers.
