It's only their third album, but The Suburbs by Arcade Fire ($8) could have come from a band with four times as many albums under their belts. Still heavily Boss-influenced, Suburbs is a musical search for childhood memories that've disappeared into a mass of subdivisions and strip malls — subject matter that fits the band's sound perfectly, and even allows them to move into some slightly new territory, like the 80s/disco-ish penultimate track, "Sprawl II [Mountains Beyond Mountains]."
