The Wrestler
The best film we've seen in a long while is coming to DVD tomorrow. The Wrestler ($17 DVD; $26 Blu-ray) stars the iconic Mickey Rourke as a bruised and battered pro grappler that is far from his 1980s glory days. Throughout the gritty movie, you're not sure if you're watching the redemption story of Randy "The Ram" Robinson or Rourke himself. There's a reason this was an Oscar-nominated role. Absolutely spectacular. An often-topless Marisa Tomei puts in an exceptional performance as well. Extras consist of Within the Ring, a making-of documentary with interviews and insight with the crew and real wrestlers, and Bruce Springsteen's "The Wrestler" music video.
