As writers, we're partial to any band that discusses the Oxford comma in a song; we're lucky that this band also happens to be pretty darn good. Vampire Weekend ($8) is the self-titled debut from the NY-based four-piece, which covers musical ground from indie rock to afro-pop, mixing in shades of punk and early sixities Brit-pop with its quirky, intelligently-written lyrics.
