XtremeMac MicroBlast

What's the point of having an ultra-tiny iPod nano if you have to also lug around a big, bulky speaker system whenever you want to go earbud-less? We recently got our hands on XtremeMac's new MicroBlast portable iPod audio system ($120) and couldn't be happier. The truly portable system not only pumps out the tunes better than we'd expected for such a small setup, it also protects your iPod with its clear front cover (which also doubles as the MicroBlast's stand) and can even charge your iPod. It can run off either batteries or an included AC adapter, and as an unexpected bonus, the MicroBlast comes with both black and white interchangeable frames to match the color of your iPod nano. So many niceties in such a compact and lightweight package. Excellent.
