Having shot in Russia, Alaska, and the Arctic Circle, adventure photographer Chris Burkard is no stranger to the elements. This trip to Iceland seemed no different until the largest storm in 25 years started coming their way. Although it looked like getting the perfect shot was out of the question, those 160 mile per hour winds brought in an incredible surf under the greatest light show on the planet: the Aurora Borealis.
