2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Who said compact cars have to come with a compact list of amenities? The 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class ($TBA) brings the build quality and interior refinement MB's known for to the compact segment, with a 1.6L or 2.0L engine offering between 115 and 211hp, hooked up to either a six-speed manual or 7G-DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission, an optional iPhone hookup that uses a special app to give you full functionality, and plenty of safety features like adaptive Brake Assist and Collision Prevention Assist. It doesn't look to shabby, either, but unfortunately for us Yankees there's been no word of a stateside release.

  • Porsche Panamera GTS

Just because you're driving a sedan doesn't mean your journey needs to be boring. The Porsche Panamera GTS ($TBA) is a serious remedy for the four-door funk, offering up a 4.8L V8 pumping out 430 hp, which is paired to a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission and an all-wheel drive setup that lets it motor to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 178. Other features include an adaptive air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management, 19-inch wheels, and the ability to strike envy into the heart of any typical tike transporter.

  • 2013 Cadillac XTS

It's about time Caddy got around to updating its flagship sedan, and update they did. The 2013 Cadillac XTS ($TBA) replaces both the aging (and hideously ugly) DTS and STS, breathing fresh air into the company's full-size lineup with all-new styling, the company's all-new CUE infotainment system — think multitouch and proximity sensors — and, surely, plenty of other goodies that have yet to be announced. Expect to see it in showrooms early next year.
