2018 BMW i3s

BMW's electric i3 is getting a refresh for the 2018 model year. Along with the base model, the range is adding a sporty i3s version, with an improved 184-hp and 199 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 drops to 6.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 100 mph. Front and rear fascias are updated, and the chassis makes extensive use of BMW's carbon fiber-reinforced plastic construction. A new range extender option increases the 114 miles travel available by using a small two-cylinder motor to power the electric drive and the TurboCord EV charger charges up to three times faster. The i3 and i3s will begin deliveries later in 2017.
