Amagansett Dunes House

Purposefully laid at an angle to capture the prevailing winds, the Amagansett Dunes House uses the natural breeze as ventilation. Helping matters are small, adjustable openings on the wind-facing side and larger apertures opposite, as well as canvas louvers that let in the summertime breeze while helping to block wintertime winds. The interior is clean and sparse, with plenty of natural light peppered by the aforementioned portholes, with the master suite and guest bed on the second floor, living and dining areas and another guest room on the ground floor, a spacious deck adjoining the kitchen and living room, and a roof deck accessible from upstairs offering loft views of the dunes and the water beyond.

  • Saint Paul Apartment

A successful merging of the old and the new, the Saint Paul Apartment takes full advantage of its interior contradictions. The one-bedroom space is housed in the attic of an 18th-century building in Paris' historic Le Marais district, and sports a neutral palette that lets the home's details shine. Those details include natural rafters that command attention thanks to the white walls and ceiling, a sleeping area separated by a steel and glass wall, and a wall of solid walnut panels that hides storage space, a dressing room, laundry, and bathroom. The result is an impressive space that feels much larger than you'd expect given its small size.

  • Vega Cabin

Set amongst granite outcroppings on an island near the Norwegian Sea, Vega Cabin is a humble getaway that blends in while standing out. The lower level is setup like a large open gallery around a stone hearth, while above, the bedrooms and family areas offer smaller, more intimate settings. Both floors feature linseed oil-painted pine paneling with untreated birch details, large windows facing in three directions, thus offering unique views, and a clean, modern aesthetic.
