Perched on a small hillside, The East Bolton House overlooks its wooded surroundings. The main structure cantilevers over a timber-clad volume. This raised level houses a kitchen, flanked by the living area and master bedroom. The space takes on a contemporary aesthetic with dark slate floors and minimal furnishings, while plywood lining the pitched ceiling provides a warm compliment. A long window runs the length of the interior, following the linear layout. Floating above the treetops, the strip of glazing frames in views of the immediate valley and Mount Orford beyond.
