Surrounded by the lush vegetation of western Singapore, the Faber House seamlessly integrates the outdoors and the interior. The home is comprised of two rectangular volumes. Clad in zircon wood, the units are stacked vertically with the common spaces on the bottom and the bedrooms above. A sculpted staircase rises out of an indoor rock garden to connect the two levels. The exterior's timber facade continues throughout the inside, framing in the kitchen for the main living area. The ground floor is fitted with custom-made retractable glass windows. When open, the living and dining rooms expand to a large garden terrace and swimming pool for an open-air experience.
