Kahua Kuili House

Situated at the foot of a volcano on Hawaii's Big Island, the Kahua Kuili House is inspired by traditional Hawaiian summer camps. The home is made up of a cluster of small detached pavilions. Each one takes on a cabin aesthetic with a material palette of board-formed concrete and western red cedar. Large sliding doors keep the living spaces connected while also opening each one to the outdoors. Organized around a pool and tiki bar, every structure is exposed to mountain views and the Pacific Ocean.
