Minim Aid Emergency Kit

Staying prepared for an emergency doesn't have to mean keeping a gaudy red box around. Born from the aftermath of the Great East Japan earthquake of 2011, the Minim Aid Emergency Kit offers a number of useful items in a sleek package. The tube-like waterproof case, light enough to be buoyant and available in three colors, holds a series of tube-shaped tools — a hand-crank radio that can also charge other USB devices (like the included lantern), a simple raincoat, a water container/cup, and a multipurpose case. There's a removable strap for carrying it with you, and the whistle hidden in the cap makes sure you can get the attention of rescuers should you need it.
