Porsche Panamera GTS

Just because you're driving a sedan doesn't mean your journey needs to be boring. The Porsche Panamera GTS ($TBA) is a serious remedy for the four-door funk, offering up a 4.8L V8 pumping out 430 hp, which is paired to a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission and an all-wheel drive setup that lets it motor to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 178. Other features include an adaptive air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management, 19-inch wheels, and the ability to strike envy into the heart of any typical tike transporter.

  • 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan

This isn't one of those measly little face lift updates. Instead, the 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan ($TBA) represents a ground-up rebuild of Bimmer's most popular line, resulting in a car that's wider and longer yet more powerful and fuel efficient. Power will come from a new turbocharged 4-cylinder — first seen in the Z4 — or the traditional turbo 6-cylinder, which are paired to a six-speed manual or new eight-speed automatic, and the new interior also boasts slightly more room, as well as new available features like a full-color heads-up display, a park-assist system, and multiple accident avoidance features. Of course, it does look different as well, with a higher, wider, and more athletic front facia featuring LED accent lights, a kidney grille that blends into the headlamps, and two large air intakes. Expect it in dealerships next February. [Scouted by Rob]

What is that parked along the immaculate grass of Pebble Beach? Why it's the 2013 Lexus GS 350 ($TBA). While not the sportiest ride in the world, the latest version of Lexus' standard luxury sedan sports a new aerodynamic body placed on a completely new platform offering a wider stance and improved rigidity, a transmission with quicker shifts that's been paired with a 306 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 that moves the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, LED daytime running and tail lamps, white LED interior lighting, a next-generation Remote Touch controller for in-car systems like the stereo, climate controls, and navigation, and enough room to haul three buddies — and all your clubs — to and from the course.
