Ward Bennett

A supremely talented designer, Ward Bennett was a success story firmly rooted in his time. This 280-page monograph celebrates Bennett's life and career, from his first clothing collection (completed as a 15-year-old dropout), to his years in Florence and Paris, and finally back his birthplace of New York City, where his talents were spotted and supported by clients like David Rockefeller, Tiffany & Co., and Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner. Fleshing out the story are examples of his work from his expansive catalog — he designed over 150 chairs alone — as well as a number of previously unpublished details, including an interview with Bennett himself.
