Zenith Defy Lab Watch

Christiaan Huygens' balance and hairspring design has been improved upon and optimized in the centuries since its debut in 1675, but the basic principle has remained the same. Until now. The Zenith Defy Lab Watch uses a single silicon piece with details finer than a human hair to replace roughly 30 components, including the balance and balance spring. As a result, it's the most accurate mechanical watch in history, losing an average of just 0.3 seconds per day. A skeleton dial lets you see the novel oscillator at work, and sits in a 44 mm case made from Aeronith, an aluminum composite that's lighter than solid aluminum, titanium, and even carbon fiber. The watch is initially being produced in a series of ten pieces, each with its own color scheme, and each already spoken for.
