AV House

You'd think that a series of concrete boxes set in the middle of a coastal forest would stick out. Instead, the AV House by BAK Architects looks surprisingly organic, thanks to exposed concrete surfaces that were molded to look like planks of wood. In addition to the concrete surfaces, which are left exposed on the interior to give the home a more rustic feel, the house employs large glass panels to provide as much natural light as possible and allow the occupants to feel as if they're still outside. It's as close as you can come to sleeping outdoors without needing extra blankets and a mosquito net.
