Burrowed into a hillside in Harriman State Park, the Black Villa brings contemporary living to rural New York. The expansive retreat features a moody black exterior and abstract forms. To incorporate its modern facade into the rugged scenery, the home is covered with a living green roof. The interior is a bright, airy contrast to the outside with warm wood floors and floor-to-ceiling glazing that wraps the living space in views of the landscape. To top it all off, an expansive skylight spans the entire living room, flooding the space with natural light.
