Founded in 2004 by George Bamford as a way to modify his own Rolex Daytona, the Bamford Watch Department is now a luxury brand in its own right. In addition to watches, the company makes a variety of accessories designed with the same attention to detail that makes their timepieces so desirable.
Taking a cue from car dealerships, Bamford Watch Department last year built a "Service Watch" that was lent out to clients while their timepiece was in for maintenance. People loved it and wanted to purchase one for themselves, so the Bamford Mayfair watch was born. Measuring in at a classic 40mm size with Military Grade Titanium Coating (MGTC), the watch is available in two versions — one with a matte grey case, anodized aluminum bezel, and leather strap, and one with a more sinister black case, matte ceramic bezel, and rubber strap. Both watches' indices and hands are finished in LumiNova for legibility and are powered by a Quartz Miyota 2035 movement. The Mayfair is your daily driver. Your vintage Rolex is the one that stays in the garage except on special occasions.
Made in the UK by the custom watch label, the Bamford Domino Set turns the classic game into a sophisticated showpiece. Each tile is formed out of wood and hand-painted in a glossy black lacquer. Embedded magnets planted in the ends hold your lines during play while also keeping them neatly stacked when displayed in their acrylic case.
While most fine watches arrive in a luxurious box, they're not really designed for being packed and carried during travel. Knowing this, Bamford Watch Department created a globetrotting watch roll crafted in carbon fiber and leather to match the sophistication and level of engineering found in the watches it contains. Ceramic glide rails provide smooth operation of the twist-and-lock capsule that feels and sounds more like a canister used for discreetly carrying dinosaur embryos than a collection of watches. Designed to hold four timepieces as large as the Rolex Deepsea. Made in the UK.
