Hamilton is a Swiss watchmaker with a rich history in the United States, where the brand was founded more than a century ago. Throughout their history, Hamilton has been a practical, precise watchmaker, from their early days supplying accurate watches for American railroads to their deep history supplying the military with iconic timepieces during World War I and II to their continuing partnerships with military squadrons and air rescue services around the world.
In the 1960's, the U.S. military needed a timepiece that was legible, accurate, and durable for pilots in active combat. Mil-Spec GG-W-113 was the result, and Hamilton created the best of the bunch. Based on the design of that soldier watch, the Khaki Field features a handsome utilitarian dial with vintage-style lume set in a perfectly-sized brushed stainless steel case with drilled lugs. This new version, being released this year exclusively with Uncrate, nearly doubles the power reserve time — from 42 hours in the standard model to a full 80 hours in ours — thanks to Hamilton's new and previously unreleased H-50 manually-wound movement, not found inside any other watch on the planet. The Uncrate-exclusive set also arrives with both military green and black NATO straps, as well as a watch tool for adding one of your own straps.
Uncrate is an authorized dealer of Hamilton timepieces, extending their full warranty with purchase.
