Bras D'or Lake House
Enveloped in a hardwood forest, the Bras D'or Lake House is a waterfront retreat on Cape Breton Island. The home is comprised of three timber-clad volumes linked by an intersecting walkway. At the center sits an entryway and an office, separating the public and private wings. Although unique in function, each unit shares a shed-like silhouette. Angled at the shoreline, the gradual slope of the roofs creates a double-height glazed wall affording expansive views of the lakeside setting.
