Occupying a hillside in rural France, the Breitenbach Landscape Hotel 48° Nord infuses local customs with Scandinavian design. The retreat consists of 14 minimalist guest houses in 4 varieties, each inspired by Norwegian hyttes. Their untreated timber-clad exteriors blend into the bucolic landscape, while their small footprints create minimal disruption to the preserved land. Internally, wood-lined walls, warm natural light, and expansive views of the scenery offer a complete hygge experience. Also on the property is the main building. Housing a restaurant and wellness facility, the building highlights the region's culinary and holistic traditions presented in a uniquely Nordic way.
