Casa Montaña
Built in Madrid in under four months and assembled in just five hours, Casa Montaña is a one-off prefab wonder. Its design, by Studio Baragaño, was inspired by the regional architecture of Valdés, Spain, and the Iberian Peninsula, with an exterior covered primarily in slatted wood and a simple black slate roof installed by a local craftsman. The main floor is divided by a metal staircase, giving access to the two bedrooms above, separated by a translucent polycarbonate wall that lets light spread throughout the space.
