Cedar House

Situated on a small clearing in Vilnius city county, the Cedar House revives a former homestead. The two volumes occupy the old building's previous site and replicate its footprint, silhouette, and materials with a traditional form and cedar shingles. The storefront keeps a classic appearance, while the main residence features a more modern aesthetic. A cut out in its roofline for the terrace disrupts the home's symmetry and sections of the lower facade have been replaced with glazing to bring in views of the landscape. Both are finished with copper details and surrounded by granite pavement.
