Chaplin Townhouse
With a mix of exotic furnishings and modern finishes, the Chaplin Townhouse is a bohemian brownstone in Brooklyn's Caroll Gardens. The home's original details were lost in previous remodels, so this latest renovation sought to reintroduce some of the historic features. Examples of this can be found in the wide trim, crown modeling, and textured ceilings, while the addition of brass fixtures and modern lighting provide a contemporary contrast. Through vintage rugs and woven wall hangings, the owner's love of travel inspired the decor, creating an aesthetic that is both laid back and sophisticated at the same time.
