Cottage Pod Bukovou
Situated above Horská Kamenice in the Czech Republic, the Cottage Pod Bukovou transforms a derelict cabin into a minimalist mountain retreat. The simple form left behind by the unfinished cabin is now completely wrapped in blackened timber, giving the exterior an abstract quality. In contrast, its interior is comprised of simple and functional living spaces wrapped in warm, natural wood, while large picture windows bring in the surroundings to complete the hygge vibes. There's also a pair of bedrooms — one accessible by a ladder from the kitchen and the other reach by hidden stairs in the closet — and for additional sleeping space, the smaller detached volume houses a bedroom and a birch -wrapped sauna.
