A hideout for a supervillain should be discrete, ultra-modern, and in an exotic location. Designer Reza Mohtashami checks all of those boxes with his Concrete Lair. The concept imagines a structure resting on four stilts, extending from the volcanic hillside like a curved rock formation. A minimalist interior is created by exposed cement walls and features a single, free-flowing living space. The bedroom transitions to a small kitchenette and ends with a sitting area. Capped by a wall of glazing, the window is angled toward the landscape to keep surveillance over the property.
