Desert Palisades Guardhouse
Posted outside a Palm Springs community, the Desert Palisades Guardhouse looks more like one of the new residences than staff quarters. The building is suited for its desert environment with a weathered steel facade. Its rusty hue compliments the surrounding scenery, while its cantilevered roof creates a playful dialogue between the new structure and the natural landscape. The interior continues the mid-century modern aesthetic with warm wood paneling, concrete floors, and large amounts of glazing to take in the rugged views.
