Set in the Australian town for which it's named, the East Trentham House strikes a delicate balance between rustic charm and cool modernism. The exterior of the home is a simple monotone gray so as to not clash with the colors of the European garden, and wooden pergolas soften its form on either side. Inside, touches like hand-glazed bathroom wall tiles, scraped timber floors, and custom cabinetry lend it a welcoming feel fitting for its rural setting. The property is finished off with a simple darkly-clad barn that serves as a foil for the surrounding foliage.
