Forest House

Rooted to the ground by a foundation of stilts, the Forest House is a modern campsite in the Northern California woods. The home is comprised of a series of small cabins, connected by a wooden path. These small structures house a variety of functions including a kitchen, sleeping quarters, a bun house, and common areas for gathering and dining. The timber frames are topped by canvas roofs, giving the rooms a tent quality but with the modern luxuries of home. Direct links to the outdoors are provided by expansive sliding doors, while large glazed openings allow for views of the surrounding treetops to the interior.
