From The Garden House

In an unconventional approach, the From The Garden House started with the landscaping. The project began with a lush, green garden, forcing KWK Promes to design the home around the vegetation. As a result, the man-made oasis became the focal point of the dwelling. The monolithic gray structure wraps its concrete walls around the existing garden. Curved walls of glazing create an atrium to highlight the landscaping, contrasting the minimalist living spaces with the verdant views, while additional windows on the outer rim of the interior frame in views of the lake. On top of the circular lower level rest a sleek, rectangular form housing the home's private zones. To continue the green theme, the house utilizes use alternative sources of energy.
