Frutillar House

Occupying a wooded plot at the Llanquihue lake, the Frutillar House is a homage to Chile's rural landscape. The structure's shed-like form borrows from the local vernacular with a simple gabled form and wood cladding. Its natural palette continues into the interior where timber frames and trusses are left exposed. Pale wood lines the walls, floors, and ceiling, while floor-to-ceiling glazing blurs the boundaries between the indoors and the surrounding forest.
