Tucked away in the forest of Quebec, the Grand Pic Cottage is a minimalist retreat inspired by the landscape on which it sits. The home is comprised of two gable-roof structures. Both clad in black corrugated steel, the larger volume serves as the main house. Inside, plywood lines the walls and ceiling, providing a warm contrast to the concrete floors and white cabinetry. Bedrooms sit above the kitchen, allowing for double-height ceilings above the living area. Large glazed panels take advantage of the expanded wall space, offering scenic vistas to both stories.
