Hale Nukumoi
Inspired by the Hawaiian landscape, Walker Warner Architects' Hale Nukumoi is a cool, laid-back beach house on The Garden Isle. The structure itself takes on the form of a modern seaside hut, merging clean lines and a slated roof with natural materials, including Coral-colored concrete, peeled ohia logs, and dark tile referencing the island's lava flow, to blend the home into its surroundings. To keep the Stone Interiors-designed living spaces connected to the oceanfront setting, oversized doors and custom rain screens slide open while thoughtfully placed vegetation by Lutsko Associates offers a sense of privacy from the neighboring beach.
