Harvey Road House

Using pale materials and generous amounts of natural light, the Harvey Road House created a bright extension to a 20th-century London home. The new addition consists of the kitchen, dining room, and play area, altering the orientation of the interior from the front of the home to the backyard garden. The exterior's lime-washed brick facade was left exposed to the inside, working with the white-oiled oak floors, cast-concrete countertops, and oak veneer cabinets to establish the serene palette. A former bay window was converted into a large opening with a folding oak framed window, illuminating the space, while creating a removable barrier to the herringbone terrace.
